Who’s it for?

‘Share The Word’ is an online learning journey that gives you everything you need to get going with The Word One to One and seeing what the Bible says about Jesus with others. 

With 6 interactive sessions that include teaching, discussion questions, practical actions and access to exclusive online events, it will help you grow in confidence and equip you to start sharing the Bible with your friends, family, colleagues, neighbours—anyone!

What is ‘Share The Word’?

The ‘Share The Word’ journey is for Christians in local churches who are committed to seeing people meet and come to know Jesus in His Word. 

It’s designed to be done in community. That’s why we highly recommend doing it alongside a Christian friend, or within a small group in your church. When you sign up, you’ll also join a cohort of other Christians from local churches who, like you, want to start sharing Jesus with non-Christians they know.

What’s involved?

In each session, you’ll find:

Teaching Videos

Short videos guide you through principles of relational evangelism, the power of God’s Word, and how The Word One to One helps you share it.

Practical Actions

The best way of learning is to give it a go. Every session includes something practical for you to do, helping you grow in confidence. You’ll also get regular encouragement via email during the journey.

Discussion Questions

All the videos include Pause Points, giving you and your friend or group time and space to discuss what you’re learning together.

Online Events

As part of the programme, you’ll get access to exclusive online events with The Word One to One team, where you can meet others in your cohort, ask your questions, share your experiences and pray together.

Additional Resources

Every session comes with an accompanying Guide, giving you the option to go deeper into what you’re learning.

If you would like to make a contribution to The Word One to One once you finish the journey, that would be gratefully received and will help others take part in future. If you would like physical books of The Word One to One, you will need to purchase them, but you can access the free mobile app and free online books from theword121.com.

  • There are 6 sessions that are designed to be completed on a weekly basis. However, you can complete them at your own pace, so it can work around when you and those you are doing it with are available.

  • The Word One to One is a unique resource and ministry that's passionate about helping every Christian introduce people to Jesus in His Word. So, this course is specifically designed to help equip and encourage Christians in Bible sharing. 

    The sessions build on each other, and the practical actions mean you learn new skills each week. Doing it together with others in your local community and on the online cohort allows you to connect and be encouraged by others too.

  • There are various ways you could run it in your church. Here are some ideas:

    • Make it a small group focus for 6 weeks

    • Encourage an interested group or team to do it informally in their own time as a group or, if possible, in pairs

  • Yes, it's possible to do the journey on your own – but we highly recommend you do it with at least one other Christian friend, as you will both benefit from supporting one another in prayer, discussing and doing some of the practical actions together.

  • Yes, there are 6 sessions that are designed to be completed on a weekly basis. However, you can complete them at your own pace whether that be quicker or slower, so it can work around when you and your friend can meet together.

  • Our prayer is that by the end of the journey, you will have at least tried sharing The Word One to One with a Christian friend or family member.

    God-willing, you will also have seen something new or fresh about Jesus!

    You'll be familiar with a resource that will help prepare you to make the most of opportunities in the future as well. You'll likely be able to share what you’ve learnt with other Christians too.

    Finally, you'll be more mindful and prayerful of the people around you too.
